Surrealism

Something that is surreal is something that is strange or something you wouldn't expect, like in a dream.

Surrealism is an art movement from the 1920’s that involved things like unconscious and dream elements into art to make it more fantasy and to make it escape from the normal.

There are two main styles of surrealism, that are the dream-like work, and there is the free form or automatisic work. Two artists that use these styles are Salvador Dali. And Max Ernst
