Painting the background
For this I used black paint, blue paint, and white paint, I started by blending the black with the blue to make a night sky colour, then I started to slowly blend it with white to make it lighter and lighter, as it touches down with the horizon.
I used white paint to add stars, the moon, and clouds. (I think this adds a little effect, however I made it a little too light on the clouds, and I made the stars a little too big)
I think that I worked well on the background, but I made the mistake of painting one of the walls a different day, so I needed to try and recreate the same colours.
To make the colour and the shade I started with black paint, mixed a little blue to give it a tint, then I started to add a small amount of white paint to it every few inches of painting to give it the sky effect.
With this I think it would have made more sense to either paint all 3 sheets together, or as I mix the white in, put some of the last colour to the side for the next sheets, instead I tried to recreate the colours each time.
I got the idea for the nigh sky from looking at several horror games based at night time scenes and the night time in games like Rust. However a lot of it I got from memory from looking at the horizon on the ocean when I was younger.
Elements, the elements I used for this was
Colour, first, I used Value, to shade the painting from the top (dark) to the bottom (light) and I also used then I used hue to add the effects of moon glow by using blue paint.
